Role Purpose: 

Lead calculation of standard cost process under his/her responsibility across Latin America, ensuring an efficient process with clear assumptions and providing accurate information for making better decisions in the business.

Support to business in decision making process related to capital investments, marketing new projects and ad hoc analyses. Also, report on time AOCs controller’s office ensuring application of established financial controls for this report.

Role Accountabilities: 

  • Be a leader in the Standard cost update process providing accurate calculation for the next quarter of Cost component under his/her responsibility across Latin America, ensuring deliverables on time and documenting clear assumptions.

  • When necessary support standard cost calculation and release process and monthly close activities, in compliance with CFI, SOX Control and procedure

  • Question the inputs mainly from Operations and Supply chain, and track monthly progress against last Standard cost unleashed, identifying root causes of deviations and implementing actions plans in order to improve forecast accuracy standard cost for making better decisions on the business

  • Analyze and provide explanation of changes to standard cost and month end operating results  with clear, concise insightful comments that aid the client’s understanding of results and trends

  • Work under strong partnership and engagement with the Sub-region SCH finance front office  leader and Supply Chain Finance FP&A team to continuously improve our forecasting processes

  • Support the decision-making process on capital investments, New projects costing (IMF), data for benchmark and ad hoc analyses requested by Finance Manager (or Director), Marketing, Operations, etc

  • Report on time to corporate cost analyses of change actual quarter vs same period last year for controllers' office  aligned with Corporate Financial Policies

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of journal entries including those that may be complex in nature. Review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness, and coordinate identification and resolution of discrepancies

  • Consistently meet or exceed Service Level Agreements pertaining to LAO GBS Cost processes.

Qualifications: 

  • 5- 8 years of experience in finance for supply, operations function and cost accounting

  • Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or Finance

  • Demonstrated strengths in critical thinking, technical skills.

  • High level of ownership and accountability

  • Experience with business information systems: Microsoft Office and SAP

  • Stakeholder management, influencing skills, strong collaboration and teamwork

  • English level intermediate-Advance.

  • Key customers include Finance community and sub-regional functions: Marketing, Supply, etc
